About Me

I am a professional grant and tender writer with over twelve years’ experience writing winning applications.

I have a proven track record of securing new business through direct tendering and grant writing and have extensive experience of managing the bid process from identification through to implementation. Funders have included:

  • National government
  • Local authorities
  • CCGs
  • Big Lottery
  • ESF
  • Police and Crime Commissioners
  • Department of Works & Pensions

The majority of my work has been in the charity sector, writing tenders for health and social care services including:

  • Supported accommodation
  • Domiciliary care
  • Care homes / residential care
  • Crisis
  • Community-based / floating support
  • Health and wellbeing
  • Information, advice and advocacy
  • Employment

Client groups have included:

  • Mental health
  • Substance use
  • Homelessness
  • Domestic violence
  • Complex needs
  • Learning and physical disabilities
  • Vulnerable/disadvantaged adults.

Since becoming a freelance bid and grant writer in 2017, I have also written tenders for other sectors/clients including dental services, green energy and food production. I have been successful in each of these areas, proving my ability to adapt to different sectors and win bids.

Applications have ranged in value from £100, one-year, grants to multi-million pound, multi-year tenders. Over the last twelve years, I have maintained an average success rate of 65% and achieved a total income through tendering of over £75 million.

If you have a grant or tender you need help with, get in touch today to see how I can help (whether it’s writing from scratch or tidying up what you’ve already written).

I look forward to working with you.
